I just got myself a set of Hoosier bias ply slicks 28x10x17 .. will be running at the track in the next week or two, how do you guys do your burnouts? Are you going from the edge of the water box or a couple feet past? I'm running 3.73 gears should I do a 2nd gear burnout? What psi should I run them? 5000 rpm clutch drop? I'm curious if it makes a difference when they are brand new if they need a bigger burnout for break in also. I'm running a gt350 manifold, gt350 tb, pmas cold air and catback on E85. Aiming for high 11s . I'm running m&h skinnies up front so keeping fingers crossed

I put them at 13.5psi.

I roll into the water, spin them a bit...and roll about 2ft out of the box. I let the clutch go and burn them down for about 5 seconds and roll out.

I use the OEM Linelock. I have done both 1st and second gear and both worked great. If you use 1st just take it to 7500 rpm and let them heat up for 5 secs and it should work out well.

Good luck.

My sixties with only a KN filter, mishi tube and e85 tune is in the 1.52 - 1.55 range.

I back in the water, spin out to get them wet, Rev up and dump the clutch in 1st , power break for 4-5 sec then let off break and roll out. I run 14-16 psi and launching at 5k, I'm currently stock axles and suspension. After getting bmr springs, ford racing axles and a mix of bmr/steeda I plan on running 12psi and launching at 6k! My best 60 ft so far is a 1.68 .

Well let's hope she lasts a dozen passes for me just till next summer I'm gonna save up for a set of half shafts . The Hoosiers are bias ply so they are much softer on the stock drivetrain with launch Keeping fingers crossed cause I'll dump it at 6k if need be to make 11s lol

^Good luck^ :headbang:It took everything I had not drop a couple of psi and launch at 6k instead of 5k after turning that 12.08! I figured when I go down in sept It should be cooler and I'll have the new axles and all the other goodies on the car so I should go 11's then.

12psi when it's hot. 10 psi when it's cold out. Burnout for 3 or 4 seconds in summer and 4-6 when it's cold out. Pull thru the water before starting your burnout. A track official should spot you.
