Factory exhaust manifold question.

Hey guys, correct me if I am wrong.
- The driver side manifold on the 2015-2017 GT's has a Converter welded to it from fac
- The driver side exhaust manifold on a 12-14 GT has NO converter welded to it and it bolts right up with no clearnace issues on our cars?
- I suppose the pass side converter simply bolts off??

Please excuse my ignorance, but why do people call them 'manifolds'? They look exactly like shorty headers to me.

They are proper shorty headers on these cars, not cast iron manifolds.

Would it be easy to swap over a 12-14 driver side header?

It may be cheaper/easier to just go with MAK Cat delete pipes if that's what you're going for.

I believe there is a length mismatch in the years. But regardless, I love my Mak deletes. I'm waiting to put my PC in to tune, but even without the tune you feel the top end

Your best bet for going to an offroad setup would be to go with a set of longtube headers.
