Hello all! This is my first post so it had to be in the forced induction section:D Last week I sold my 550whp twin turbo Porsche 996 for a GT 6spd. This is my first domestic car in a very very long time and I must say I'm happy I picked the Mustang. And the power potential is un real! There is no doubt I will be throwing a set of twin turbos before the odometer hits 5K. I've owned over 20 boosted cars so I am aware of the basics. I've already purchased a set of Precision ball bearing turbos, Tial MVR gates, 95lbs injectors, intercooler. I manufacture turbo components for a living so I will be fabricating all the exhaust parts myself.

My main question is what is everyone using for tuning and fuel supply? I've done some research and seems like a voltage booster for the fuel pump will get me pretty far? I already bought 95lbs injectors, do I need to replace any lines and/or add a fuel regulator? And as far as tuning is anyone using HP Tuners anymore or is that ancient? Thanks for any input guys.

BAP should be ok for 93 and 700ish. Will need a full return system for e85. Most of us use Lund or PBD. Not sure how much power you want wanting. Also read up on OPG and CS.

Gonna need a twin/triple return fuel system for big boy power and 1500cc injectors assuming you're going to use e85. Lund is one of the go to tuners for any tuning needs. Pbd seems to be another great option for tuning as well. Stock bottom end isn't going to like anything more than 850whp and 3rd gear on your manual is going to shit the bed so plan on upgrading those sooner than later. Welcome aboard, I just arrived recently too.

HP Tuners is still a great tuning tool. My car runs great with an HPT tune

Thanks for the good info guys. I am a bit old school and always thought everything should be done on a chassis dyno so it's new to me that I would just buy the tune and have it emailed to me.

I only plan to make 800hp max and probably back it off on the street. It will be mostly ran on pump gas and occasionally on race gas, we don't have e85 readily available around here. Do you guys think I will be ok with the voltage booster and 95lbs injectors?

You are going to have fun with the stang.

Assuming 800 RWHP. (if 800 crank, stock pump should be fine)
Sai twin pump fuel system maybe?
One pump on ragged edge voltage boosted or two running for durability?
95lb get you further on stock only pump voltage boosted, just depends on if you consider the extra capacity as wasted money or necessary margin operating at these levels.

Envious you can weld and fab this yourself. Its gonna be hella rewarding for you.

I liked the car a lot. There just isn't that much support in the aftermarket world. Most owners want to keep those cars stock so you're not going to find very many parts if you want to do big things. The car itself is amazing though.

Email tunes with logs from your side sent back to the tuner works just as well as tuning on an dyno (which they can do also if you buy dyno time from a local shop). The bottom end will be ok with your intended power level, but the trans is still going to be the weak link. I would still do a basic stage1 fore fuel system to ensure adaquate fuel delivery...don't wanna skimp on fuel supply or the consequences could be severe.

Post pics of some turbo exhaust mani's you've built brotha!

Here's some of the work that I do

I do mostly imports but this is my personal car so I'm pretty excited to jump into the domestic world and see some good torque numbers. Having a daily 700-800hp car sounds so sweet. I have a 1300whp Supra but that thing sees less than 1000mi, it's a bitch to drive.

What's a bitch to drive with a 1300whp supra? I had one myself. Wasn't shitty to drive at all unless you consider the horrid mpg to be the issue.

Btw I hate you for your welding skills...not really but I'm stupid envious

Didn't mean to say 1300hp Supras are a bitch to drive. I meant my Supra is a bitch to drive. Clutch, no AC, suspension, noise, smell. That and it's a 1993 so it's not as comfy to drive.
