Ok wanted to get some input from Florida Forum Members on Window Tint and personal experience. So here we go another poll question. Which of the three would you pick?
I am looking for really great night time visibility and really good heat & UV protection. Not interested in dark tint - only protection. What percentage should I go with?
35%, 40% ??

When I bought mine, it had 35% already installed from the dealer. With the black interior, it is more than dark enough without drawing unwanted attention from LEO and keeps a lot of the heat out. I intend to get a windshield sunshade to help keep it even cooler real soon.

I have no idea what brand the dealer installed though....

Have you had any issues with cops and having tint that dark? I was thinking about overlaying darker tint over the 35 so it can be darker but if I get bothered too much by the cops I can remove a layer.

^ I've got 20% 3M Colorstable on mine, nothing on the windshield yet but I'm thinking I might end up getting something like 50% there because it gets hot while parked outside at work. No trouble with cops so far.

For the topic, for heat/UV protection I'd consider getting something on the windshield at least though.

I went with the 3M Crystalline, it had the best protection while not being to dark. I got 40% on the side and rear windows and 70 on the windshield (you can't even tell anything is there). However the downside was cost, $750 for everything.

30% Pinnacle, still need to get the windshield done...considering Stratos 70 for that. Flying Window Tinters in Longwood did an excellent job on mine.

This. I have the same exact setup, lol.

Tons of heat rejection, just not quite dark enough for my usual tint mod taste (but this car was for my wife initially, and I tinted it for her when she was still driving it).

I have Llumar ceramic 20% on the sides and Air 80 on the windshield with a strip of 20% at the top. Heat rejection is pretty nice but I still use a sun shade when parked outside. Not too dark and I can still see out at night. My DD has 35% and it's too light in my opinion.

I advise everyone to stay away from this thread.. some bad juju here.. Lol.

I got my car tinted 2 days after I got in almost 2 years ago.. been riding around with 16% tint this whole time with no issues.. 1 day after posting on this thread I get pulled over for illegal tint.. Lol. The cop was nice tho and he let me off then proceeded to leave quickly at a high rate of speed which leads me to believe the tint was just an excuse.. he did bring out the tester tho and said in the state of Florida 28% is the limit, mine read 17%.. supposed to be 16%

Honestly doesn't seem that dark at all, I actually wanted it darker.. not anymore.
