Yes, EB rim but with an 80% profile tyre instead of the standard EB 60% profile tyre.

I bought the rim and jack kit from Ford Parts UK and sourced the tyre locally, 80% profile tyre is much closer to the standard tyre size than the smaller 60% profile one - much less stress on the limited slip diff... but as has been stated previously here it will not fit the front of an S550 GT, only the rear so a front tyre failure will require some front and rear rim swapping.
Great - may I ask where you sourced the 80% profile tyre? (Also, you say 'front and rear rim swapping' - but you mean front and rear rim+tyre swapping?

The tyre is an 155/80R18 102M BRIDGESTONE TEMPA SPARE sourced from: https://www.point-s.co.uk/ with local fitting.

Yes, sorry rim and tyre together - just my terminology!

But it is a tight squeeze in the wheel well, you have to let quite a bit of air out dropping from 60psi so reinflate with tyre compressor when fitting.

With a slightly larger tyre, 155/80/18 although I had to let a bit of air out to squeeze it in; almost exactly the same rolling radius as the standard wheel and tyre.
I've gone with your solution, though I did find that I had to let it down from 60psi to nearer 25psi to fit it in! (and so am hoping that the tyre inflator that comes with the GT works on the day to get it back up)

Peter, did you have the spare wheel painted black, or can you order a black version?

Hi Derek, it just came like that from Ford Parts UK, no finish option offered when ordering.

Has anyone tried using a Japanese space saver, like off a 2008 STI? They have the same PCD and will probably have good brake clearance. They're also plentiful on Ebay.
