Problems Fitting Kooks Headers

The lower harder mounts from steeda and upr are known to introduce knock into your system

At least I've had some good news, my GT350 IM, TB and CAI are on their way

At this rate I may have to put the stock headers back on, maybe I could turn the Kooks headers into a garden sculpture ? :shrug:

Buy a set of Arh then you wont have that problem. I stayed away from kooks headers for the same reasons posted in this thread!

When ARH start producing RHD headers I'm there! Their exhaust is superb quality

Kook's should have had a starter motor delivered to them today but before they can send it to me they are going to scan it into CAD and check whether it will fit.

Also dropped off my GT350 parts to the garage, so i'm hoping to get my car back at some point next week, which would mean no car for nearly a month :(

Waiting for the new starter motor from Kooks to arrive at the garage, should be here any day now. Fingers crossed, hoping to have my car back by the end of the week.

I don't know why this has turned out so hard for you. Modurstang fitted my kooks headers fine, with standard stock engine mounts. It was tight, for sure, but they've been absolutely fine for the last 2 months since installation.

Modurstang also fitted my Kooks headers with Steeda engine mounts. Mike is well versed in fitting Kooks. No problems so far since installation.

Apparently the newer revisions didn't always get better, maybe I just got unlucky ?

If for some reason they gave you the new revision that mike was testing when i was at MuS, you'll never get them to fit, it'll never fit if they're the new variant.

This is why they're sending me a new, smaller starter motor. Kooks reserved 3 of them, which tells me I might not be the only one. I've heard they've also stopped manufacturing them until they can get them working.

I bet £10 Mike has one coming for them too....

Maybe that's how many they sold of that revision.
