Chances Ford would ever make another RWD V8 performance midsize sedan?

Saw a nicely maintained Marauder on the road last week and thought how cool it would be if Ford could reintroduce that concept with a coyote motor. I know that Ford is all-in on the Ecoboost and it's a great motor. My F150 has one and it's smooth and powerful, but there is no replacement for the visceral feel of a proper V8 engine.

I'm looking at the late 90's Mark VIII. Solid engine, rear wheel drive, and cheap. That would be a fun car to track and drag.

I always thought Marauders were cool, but IMO they are a big car, not mid-sized. I'd like to see an actual mid-sized sedan with a V8 come back. Something roughly Focus sized having a V8 with about 430 or so hp would be very interesting. The little turbo engines just don't make enough power.

The Falcon was just such a car, unfortunately it never made it up here from AU.

I was thinking something along a Fusion sized vehicle. Something like GM did with the GTO and SS. Add some FI and you have a killer Q-ship/sleeper.
