I'm considering getting the Eibach Spring Sportline Set (http://www.cjponyparts.com/eibach-spring-sportline-set-2015-2016/p/EBS28/) but I read a comment saying the following: "Those stock struts are going to blow/brake sooner than later; they were not design for lowering springs." How true is this? If true is there another set of lowering springs that are completely safe and reliable?

There is a suspension subforum, but here goes.

With minor lowering, the stock shocks/struts will be fine for quite some time. ~1". Anything more than that, and they will probably wear out faster.

Are you performance pack? if so, the lower/slightly stiffer springs will be better for your shocks.

The lowering specs are suppose to be 1.0" front and a 1.25" in the rear, but my mustang is not a PP. Do you know of any other sites that sell the full package so I wont have to worry about anything wearing out faster.

CJ pony parts sells the ford racing shocks and struts, but you might as well use your stock ones until they wear out, while saving money. It should be at least in the tens of thousands of miles. Don't worry about it so much.

Do struts wear out even with out changing your shocks?

Thanks, I was just curious... Never been a huge fan of progressive regardless of the application. Granted, I've never owned a car with them, but I rode/drove a few and wasn't happy with how much they seemed to change during travel.

I think the pro kit has more than enough drop on these cars, and gives the car the perfect stance

we have the pro and sportline in stock though at great pricing for the forum members

Guys who can give me an advice?
I want to install just front lowering springs from Eibach. Am I crazy or better to do it for all 4? What is the side affects if I will install just front springs?
Thanks!
