I can tell you that I overheard.. They were testing TT's, but they have switched to a blower. I'm thinking its a late 2018 MY or early 2019 MY release.

Interesting. I thought they'd go TT for sure. I hope they work on that wing. Those appear to be the Carbon wheels.

Oh my Lordy.....those are the sort of photos that would get someone fired! :eyebulge:

I'm assuming these were taken at a Ford or Roush facility. It also appears to be the same prototype that was spotted on the streets (016 M 500). That same car was spotted with two different rear wings and different wheels up front.

I believe that Manufacturer plates are just like dealer plates, in that they don't correlate with a specific car. I'm not saying that those are 2 different cars, just that it's a possibility.

Very good possibility that's a '18 GT PP mule, but just as likely to be something much more special too. Agreed with the above on the plates.

Honestly could also be just a 18 GT350/R.

I am not aware of any significant GT350 updates. I have only heard. Bullitt, Mach 1, "GT500". However last time I brought up the Mach 1, I heard it was something more special. So aside from Bullitt. I feel like I am back at square one.

What is interesting about the spy pictures is 15-17 headlights... Which I am pleased about.

Headlights I'm sure will change once the refresh is done. 18R is same as '17 = no updates. This is most likely a mach1/gt500/cobra variant. Those front quarter "gills" are the first I have seen. Very cool! I hope it makes it to production! Most likely for supercharged heat dissipation.

Edit:
Remember that space underneath the new revised headlight? That's a intake and it will funnel air thru the bay and vent out the side "gills"

They may very well change, but if they are using the majority of the GT350 tooling. They might just update the lights content wise, as that would further differentiate it from the 18'.

I don't know, based on the GT350 mules seen over the winter the year prior to it being released. Production intent panels will have to be on the car really soon if there are going to be a departure from the GT350.

I would venture new hood, fenders, and fascia accents. But the fascia and CFRP Rad support being unchanged.

I hope that mule is a 2018 GT350. It would be so cool to have front fender side vents. That would be revolutionary !

They look great...
Raptor has them and they are functional. I hope that they look a tad bit nicer than the raptors, I'm sure they will.

Changes to the '18MY GT350 would go against this though, which stated "the only changes to the 2018 Shelby GT350/R will be exterior colours. All other functional interior and exterior content will carry over from 17MY"
