I'll mirror what others have said: Rdforum.org is where you want to research this stuff. They produce structured scientific testing on RDs and laser countermeasure systems. It's one of the only places to find unbiased data on electronic and other countermeasures.

I have the 9500iX, I got it on sell from best buy went the new ix came out lol. I would look into getting one with GPS, it really helps to get rid of false positives.
