To say that MSRP or higher for the GT350's is strictly a dealer/buyer issue, not a Ford issue, is incorrect. There are two parts to this equation supply and demand. Ford limits the supply of GT350's and the price at the dealer goes up. Demand is high and supply is low. Yes, dealers have the option of selling lower, but they don't have to because there aren't enough cars to sell. I've read all the debates about suppliers, parts, etc. Ford is making these cars exclusive. A company that size can certainly figure out how to make more, but they intentionally don't. On the street I can buy a C7 Z51 for less than a GT350 because the C7 is available and the 350 is not. Also, in equal hands, the Z51 is faster.

Don't compare a vett to a GT350. Come on really! Their not even in the same category!
The demand is higher for the gt350 vs zl1 or 1le. And you can't even compare them to the demand, they don't sell well. Camaro sales no matter what version sells less than the mustang. Even if ford made 20000 gt350s a year their would still be mark ups. Same goes for the raptor and RS.

Well yeah that would be awesome. But it simply cannot happen.
Really why can't it?
You're saying ford can't build a 650hp GT350/R?

I used the wrong wording. Ford is not going to. They're not going to push that motor to 650 without FI. And if they go FI, they're going to add lots of weight. So then it would be right at what the ZL1's got plus about 10k. So then its a wash in performance and a huge price advantage to the Camaro. Ford is going to go after this and the regular ZL1 with the GT500.

Yes, the C7 and the 350 are not even in the same category. The C7 is a better car. If Ford made 30,000 350's per year and Chevy made 5000 C7's, which do you think would cost more?

What about if the Subaru BRZ had 550 hp? It is silly to say all this things
Because Ford has a history of GT500's, and its not hard to get there. And it wont add "a lot of weight", is that what happened to the ZL1 over the SS? 130 horsepower is more than a lot of cars have to start with. They could have blown a cross plane coyote a long time ago and eclipsed a ZL1 even before it got here. Turbos would have been an unbeatable combo, easily over 700 hp. And it would have fit with the low volume. Who cares if it takes 30 more minutes to install the engine.

Force induced gt350 r would destroy the zl1. These cars are only lacking torque and, force induction would take care of that. But the problem is, can Ford sell a car like that similar to the pricing of the zl1, meanwhile the regular gt350 is being sold for the zl1 price? The answer is "NO WAY"! This might be the main reason why Ford is not coming up with the gt500. If they discontinued the gt350 after 2017, i m pretty sure the gt500 would be announced already!

Looks aside, which bolis down to the eye of the beholder is subjective. ZL1 1LE does not "look" bad IMO. I will admit that the big a$$ wing is a lot to be desired, but I give Chevy huge props for what they have done with this latest Camaro.

Now Ford need to not only respond but respond in such a way the leaves no doubt that this next SE Stang is the best all around performer between the Big 3.

It's a better car for you. Not me. What's your point? The vett cost more now.

550 isn't 650. Besides the gt350r with 526 or 471 rwhp vs 505 or 469 rwhp GM 7.0. Which lied and cheated and still lost.

The 2018 will have magneride, still a 5.0. If that 5.0 was FI it can easily make 650+ hp. With brakes and some suspension tuning it could be at the zl1 1le competition level.

How come Ford can sell a vehicle (gt500) same price as the gt350 and out perform it in any way possible? Ford puts more than $20,000 msrp difference between a gt and gt350 even though the performance difference between the two is not worth $20,000. Do you think Ford would change that logic for the gt500? No way!

Chevy however can get away with a camaro 1le or camaro zl1 outperforming their corvette line up including the grand sport except the zo6. But that is due to corvette being on a totally different platform. Ford can't do that. They are lacking 2 seater platform. I m not including the Ford GT.
