After a closer look at the picture it looks like a coating or chemical reaction to the powder coat. Except it turned the weight white as well.

Ya it bleached the color right out of everything, based on my observation it is a cleaner or stripper of some sort that caused this.

What did you take the wheels in for ?

Remounting, rebalancing maybe if they did and tried taking the stick weight goop off they used some hardcore stripper then
It was taken in just for a rebalance since they messed up the first time. I'm not sure what they used to get the weights off, but yea it had to be some hard core stuff.

Does anyone think it could of caused any structural damage to the wheel that would render it unsafe to drive?

So the company ordered a new set of rims for me instead of repairing these. So I'll be selling these if anyone wants a set. All you'll have to do is repowder coat them and you'll be good to go. PM me for a price

scott_0 Definitely is nice they're ordering new ones. I'm going to buy back the others and sell them on here to someone who wants a great deal on them.
Motoboy Yes I am stationed in Germany. I actually bought them while I was here from scott_0 and hard them shipped here. I use USPS on base so it isn't much difference than being in the states.
