Figured that 275 wide is still enough for a n/a application. Ordered them should have them friday.

anyone else running 275 wide drag radials?

I had 305 nitto nto5r's and they rubbed the fenders a little bit on hard launches.

They will be shorter than the factory setup, and they look kind of funny. I'll be ordering some M&H racemasters soon. They're the only company that makes a 275/50/17 which is the right height. I don't want to run a wide tire so the Mickey Thompsons are all out.

Actually, depending on transmission and rear end gearing, the 275/40/17 might be beneficial.

A 275/50/17 is taller than all the OEM tire sizes on the GT.

Ex. a 255/40/19 is 27", 275/50/17 is 27.9"

When I did the math for RPM through the traps, a manual car with a 3.31 rear will likely benefit from a 275/40/17 vs a 275/50/17 at "stockish" power levels.

All this is only for drag racing consideration, not everyday street use...then my points are no longer valid

That's likely the size I will be getting next spring for my dedicated drag setup.
