GR340 - Down and Out

GR340 took a crap today:frusty:. Stuck waiting on tow truck. Both belts came off, all engine coolant drained. Not sure motor made it. Time will tell. Not saying anymore till resolved by Ford.

Ps. First Ford Roadside Assistance tow truck refused to tow due to height. Second one on way but doubt he will be prepared either.:doh:

Shit. Had you done a service on it out of curiosity? I'm at 600. Still haven't let it fly yet.

Any warning signs prior to the failure? Sorry to hear about your trouble. I've been driving mine like I stole it.

Do we have confirmation that any of the popped Voodoo's have been repaired yet? This makes 5 I believe; others being derpington, itlrun, svt performance had one, and the one at Voodooo's dealership.

Ya but it's still a big PIA. I mean who wants a brand new engine torn into? Not to mention not having you car for 6 weeks. And God forbid that there isn't a true design flaw that starting to rear its ugly head now that units are hitting the streets now.

This couldn't be farther from the truth.

It sucks for the time wait, but it's going to get fixed and the OP will be back on the road. If my motor blows up tomorrow I could care less. It's under warranty.

Yeah for sure. I mean warranty can be a headache just dealing with the service dept, but they're not out to make it more difficult than it needs too. They have superiors to report too and questions to answer.

I honestly have thought about this a lot. If warranty is going to be an issue i'd probably build a 13:1 Voodoo in my garage with ported heads and just go for it. The engine itself isn't anything incredibly technical. Just a high revving port, FPC setup. It's like two Honda's put together.
