Took the car to the Livernois Motorsports Customer Appreciation Track Day at Milan Dragway on Sep 22, 2016. DA was near 3000ft, upper 80s and ton a humidity. The video below was the 11.27 pass. The best pass of the day was an 11.19 @ 128.7. All passes were run on Nitto 555 G2 and 93 Octane pump gas. Car is an automatic with 3.55 gears and makes 12psi from the Whipple. Only other modification is an off-road X-pipe and the car still sports the stock mufflers.

This was a last minute trip and did not have a set of good Drag Radials or slicks to run. I also didn't have a chance to run the car on the race gas tune as I ran into some tuning issues. The SCT X4 kept giving me an error when I tried to flash the race tune. I was going to try and return to stock then try and flash it but did not want to risk not being able to flash a tune from stock at the track...if I could not get to a tune my car would be dead in the water due to the larger MAF and injectors. However, when I got home and put the car in the garage going back to stock allowed me to flash the race gas tune. Kind of bummed I didn't vet that issue out before heading to the track.

Sh!tty with the G2s. Anything more than a slow roll out the tires were up in smoke. Even on that pass in the video I slow rolled it out and then rolled into the gas, as soon as I got to full throttle the tires spun in 1st gear.

With 555Rs on my 2013 Roush setup I could get 1.65-1.70 60s. That would put my 2015 into the 10s on a pump gas tune.

I need to rethink my tire combo. Either I buy a matching set of 18s for the rear and put MT Drag Radial Rs on them and swap on for the track. Or I go the 20" route at all 4 corners and run 555R. The 20" route will cost 2x but will allow me to hook on the street, but I'll be back to dropping $700 every spring for a new set of tires. Or live with the poor street traction on the G2s and have a better tire for the track.

I take the car to the track maybe twice a year and drive about 10,000 miles in the summer. I think I will be happier being able to hook up light to light 20x a day over going .2 faster in the 1/4 twice a year. But there is a cost that comes with that :(

Nice passes on the street tires! You definitely could have run mid 10's with proper traction, despite the DA and pump gas. Wouldn't surprise me to see some 9.90's out of your car with big & littles, sticky tires, race gas, and better DA.

Nice runs...I managed a best of 1.81 60' on the G2s but overall they were very difficult to keep planted to the track. Even after the 60' once I started to lay into the throttle the tires would spin.

Overall, what do you think of the G2s on the street at your power levels? I also miss my 555Rs and might have to move up to a set of 20" wheels to make that happen. 1st and 2nd gear on the street with the G2s is all tire spin for me. I have to be careful how much throttle I apply or the traction control kicks in and makes the car buck like a bronco or if I turn it off I need to be care I don't spin out.

I had to lift every pass after the 1-2 shift or it would spin all of second... easily lost 2-3mph on the big end from it.
