From what I hear, the biggest difference is the High Def Radio...some posts say there is a significant difference. The other items in the 401A have value as well.... blind spot sensor, memory seats
I haven't used the FM radio in my GT yet, but if it doesn't have HD radio then that's fine with me. I hate that tech. Where i live it flips back and forth between HD and standard every few seconds and it is beyond irritating. Every car I've had with that feature that I could disable, I did. The 401A also gets 12 speakers (plus the sub) to the 400A's 9 (no sub) from what I can recall. You also get the memory seats...which is a feature I would have appreciated.

IMO, the 400A radio sounds fine, but it could benefit from a small sub in the trunk as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, the other stuff in the 401A seems like I can do without since this is not a DD for me. I am leaning towards the TY as I dont see too many of them around. It is more of a head turner than the Shadow Black in my opinion. Thank you for the response!
no Problem, glad to assist. I see you are from Chicago, I am from Wisconsin and kind of in the same boat. I have been searching for a while and was hoping to find what I wanted in a 2016 base GT Premium (400A) with Leather (no PP for me). I have had to search at least 8-10 hours away to get close to what I want in the price I wanted. There were a few dealers locally, but they are low volume and waaay over priced. I have been going back and forth between the Ruby Red and Deep Impact Blue colors.. I also want something that is going to stand out color wise. Even considered Competition Orange or Race Red, but I don't know if i'd like those colors as much....My best search sites have been cars.com and cargurus.com good luck with the search and let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

2017 GT350. Sticker was 61K. Paid 68k but got 100% of what I paid for my 16 GT premium that was 45 days old with 600 miles.

My 350 was one of the first 2017's built. Some dealers are now selling the GT350 for MSRP but they are still the exception. Within 100 miles from me there are 8 in stock and 19 "inbound". Dealers of all of those 8 in stock still want 10k+ ADM.

What are your thoughts on the 400A vs 401A. For me it would really just be the upgraded radio I likely want. I like to jam when cruising.
I never thought I'd need blind spot monitors. Now I wonder how I lived without them. Seriously, they're life-changing. Also: memory seats are VERY convenient if you have somebody else driving your car. My wife drives mine pretty regularly so it's very helpful; if you're the only one spending time behind the wheel it doesn't matter. I've had the car for 30,000 miles and haven't turned the FM radio on, so I can't speak to that part of it. The subwoofer in the trunk is barely noticeable unless I'm listening to hip-hop. I'd kind of rather have the trunk space for road trips and grocery-getting.

Also I paid MSRP but that was before the car became widely available and I'm totally ok with that decision.

Guys thank you! OMG what a car. The exit/entry lights at night blew my mind. Plus I've still got the manual drive skills after 25 years. Woot woot.

Awesome, that's the best deal I've seen. What was MSRP had to be over 34k right? Was it recently and does that dealer have any manuals in stock?

I bought it August 13th, they had the automatics on sale. I went thinking I was going to get the 6 speed manual. Saw this deal and couldn't pass it up. I've never owned an automatic anything, but I am enjoying it in the San Antonio traffic for sure. Sticker was 34,685. I told my husband once this is paid off, let's get a Shelby :D
I've had many Mustangs over the years and I absolutely love this one.

No the Shadow Black had the 401A. I wanted a statement color. I see a lot of Black stangs around the Chicago Burbs. Not many TYs. Loving it lots so far!
