I plan to turbo over the winter so I'm really just wondering about the little things. What's the deal with the clutch spring? And hood struts, which brand? Any other recommendations?

Congrats on the pick up!

Small things to consider: all weather floor mats, clutch assist spring, tint, spacers if planning to keep stock wheels, but it all depends on what you want to accomplish with your car.

First mods after your big purchase.

In my case I will be left with the bare min. this year.

1. Weather tech mats & tech shade
2. 3m crystalline tint
3. Complete detailing kit - The Chemical Guys (popular here)
4. Dash Cam - Black Vue*DR650S-IR Series 2
5. Steeda Mustang Clutch Spring Assist and Spring Perch Kit

Next year:
Borla Sport Catback Exhaust
Ford Performance Pack 2
California Front Splitter & Belly pan.

Congrats on the purchase - waiting on mine to arrive. ;)

- first thing is drive it and enjoy it
- second is figure out what you may need more of or may want to change
for me I spent more money on preserving the looks because once that is gone its much harder to go back. I am now buying performance enhancers here and there, mostly from the classifieds here of new or never used items.

More oil. :headbonk:

Sorry I just couldn't resist. I also have a Lightning Blue GT. It's a great car. Check out Steeda hood struts. That's what I'm planning to go with on mine.
The only mods I've done to mine so far are 4th brake light, sequencers, rear LED marker lights and swapped all interior bulbs for LEDs all of which I bought from Diode Dynamics.

Use the search and you'll find countless recommendations. My advice: Get a good synthetic that meets factory specs and use a known quality oil filter such as the OEM one from Ford.

Definitely have the LEDs on the list! Did you get the switch back turn signals ?

Any particular reason you went with UPR? Had my eye on JLT
