Ford Performance By Borla Cat-Back Exhaust

Anybody install this?

Wondering how much different it is from the actual borla exhaust. Will it have a different tone, it must be a little quieter than the ATAK since this one is 2.5'' compared to 2.75.''

Please post some videos if anyone has them.

I do agree that it might be just a tad quieter than Borla if anything, but only because of the ATAK mufflers. Borla confirmed that their Ford system is actually 2.75" also.

But they say 2.5" in the title, wonder if that is just a typo. Hopefully someone who gets it can confirm the dimensions

Guessing typo. David Borla told me both systems are 2.75".

I have this system installed but have not had time to make a video. Sounds awesome and my stock exhaust is left intact.

Are you happy with the change? sound increase noticeable in both modes?

Normal mode sounds the same but Sport mode is definitely louder than stock. I can discern and difference in the tone of the sound from stock. Still sounds Voodoo to me.

I did not measure the pipe before installing but David Borla confirmed in a thread on this site that the piping was 2.75".

This is video of me messing around with my track day audio set up. Don't have any outside the car audio.

You mentioned in an earlier post that the stock exhaust is left intact. Did you mean the stock mufflers were left intact?

If so, that gives a good idea of what to anticipate as far as sound. A larger diameter than stock piping with stock muffler gives added performance with sound comparable to stock, likely just louder like you're describing.

I meant I took my entire stock exhaust out and replaced it with the ford performance that does not have resonators thus solving the dilemma I had of not wanting to chop up my stock exhaust and my need to remove the resonators.
