Pulling into the garage with the bike on would SUCK for sure.
I know a bike shop owner that went through a drive thru after a ride. He destroyed a 5k bike, broke windows and did other damage to his car, and he had to pay Burger King for damage as well :D

I am just planning to take the front wheel off and throw the bike and wheel in the trunk with the rear seats down. If necessary, I'll cover up the floor and back of rear seats so they don't get dirty.

Received an email back from etrailer today. They are updating their site with the Curt hitch today. Should show on the site within a couple days.

I went with the SeaSucker rack for my new ride. No added weight from tow hitch and no scratches on the car.

This is on my S197, My S550 is in order processing.
How much for a rack like this?

And does Sea sucker really leave no scratches ? Also, do they have adapters for 15mm front axle (which is pretty much standard now) ?

I'd love to have 1 1/4" hitch as I had on my previous care since that is really convenient but afraid it's going to screw up the look of the car..

Trailer hitch for 2015 Mustang on etrailer site now.
http://www.etrailer.com//p-C11405.html

It's $216.00.
The site says does not fit GT but here's what etrailer says:

From: Michael Lindsay [mailto:[email protected]]
Subject: Re: etrailer.com - Question About a Product from Bob Chapman

Curt tells me that there are NO fit exclusions for the hitch, including for the GT.
The fit exclusion we had on our site was in error, and the person responsible will be severely beaten! (Just kidding, but we'll fix it.)

Michael,
On your web site it says this is not for GT.
I have a GT…..can you check if this will fit?

I'm not crazy about a hitch under my GT but I think this will be the route I go for bike transport. I don't think it looks too bad from the rear. Here's a picture from their install doc.

Would be nice to see a picture with the rear on the ground rather than ramps, but doesn't look terrible.

Yeah, looks fine. You'll hardly notice it when the car is on the ground. I have been using hitch racks for years. Only way to go IMO. There's no way I'm lifting bikes past the side of my car to put on the roof. Plus, I haven't seen a roof or trunk mounted rack yet that didn't damage the car in one way or another.

Been waiting for this for awhile now so I just ordered it today. Hopefully get it next week some time and get it installed. I'll take pictures of it while car sitting on ground so people can get a better idea of how it looks.

Instructions on Curt-eTrailer hitch installation?

Are there any downloadable instructions available yet for the hitch installation?
How much unbolting, etc. will be needed?
