I lost my motor with the 3.0 and standard lower 17-18psi pushing to 8k. If you want the motor to last till winter, I would stay in 15psi range. Granted there are several other variables but 15 seems to be the healthy max. I also planned on waiting until winter to do my build but......... that didn't happen. :doh:

I would defiantly start there. See how she feels and what psi it's making. Also grab the I'd1300 if you can. Once you build the short block the 1000's will max out quick.

What do you plan to do with the stock Whipple pump and reservoir after installing the cobra jet intake? I like that intake but don't want to go too far with the tank.

To be honest, I'm not sure yet! I'm still not 100% sure if I am going to run the CobraJet Intake yet.

Just finished dropping the car off at Beefcake Racing! Terry arranged for one of the guys in the shop to meet us early this morning to take delivery of the car and parts for the install & tune. Thanks to Terry & Wade for taking time out of your Sunday to get me squared away with my Whipple build...I really appreciate it!

The guys at Finish Line have been going to town on it. They have the OPG's, crank sprocket, and BOSS 302 tensioners are installed, along with the ATI 20% damper. Then they moved onto the Fore Innovations fuel system. They have it mostly plumbed and wired. Friday they received Whipple's new massive heat exchanger and PNB 7 gallon trunk mount tank. Brian & Brandon will get all the necessary hardware together to plumb the new tank to the heat exchanger.
Tomorrow the new driveshaft and Zeitronix Zt2 datalogging system with wideband o2, fuel pressure, map, and ethanol content sensors. Hopefully by Thursday, the Circle D converter will arrive. All the guys at Finish Line Performance have been great, Wade, Brian, and Brandon, as well as Beefcake have made it really nice to work with!

Also....thanks to [MENTION=20442]jhatley7[/MENTION] for hooking me up with the air diffuser for my Super Cobra Jet intake....thanks brutha!

So the guys at Finish Line Performance & Team Beefcake Racing have been great! The car came to life this morning and they are working with the guys at Lund Racing and are doing some idle and slow rev logs to get the tune dialed in. Here's a few pics from the build.

Ahhh! that Cobra Jet intake just looks legit! Very nice setup and if I was going custom calibration I would have looked into the CJ intake.

So [MENTION=20256]Beef[/MENTION] & the Guys at Finish line Performance have been working with Lund on the tune for the car, working through some tuning issues etc. Hopefully it will all be sorted out by the end of the day, fingers crossed!
