I think he was asking what the comparison was based off of...

Is the new H/E 15* cooler than the old one running fans? OR
Is the new H/E 15* cooler than the old one without fans mounted on it.

At least that's the way I understood it.
Yes this is what I was asking. Impressive if it really is that much cooler than an original with fans. Now I need to buy this and the larger reservoir tank

Would love a good reason to get rid of those loud Azz fans.

You can take those out anyway. I've logged with a dedicated IAT2 sensor and the fans on switch and didn't see any change with fans on or off. I tried it many times idleing hot and turning fans on and the IAT2 don't move at all.

Say no to fans.

Big. Bigger and biggest. More flow on top of big...and youre all set.

Right, bigger faster is the key. Coolant flow speed and ID size of the fitting is also important.

I track mine and I do so with maximum effort and this has always been done with the standard heat exchanger and no fans; never had them. Fans mean nothing over 15mph. I have never had a problem with heat even on 100 degree track days which I don't prefer to run in personally. I'm looking forward to running the new one and I'd already have it if it wasn't for wanting black. I prefer the black for the stealth look through the grill. The natural is very pretty though and I'm glad I get to see it often on Jays car. Pricing is available through Whipple now.
Can you post a link to the pricing? I don't see it.

You have to email Whipple and they will let you know. Theyre busy because of Fabulous Fords in Socal. I pay for mine this coming week

Well, you would need the bracketry but otherwise you would just need to plum it in to your existing setup assuming you have a pump and existing heat exchanger to swap this with.
Thanks man.
I have a trunk mount ice tank with its own external pump,
MY KB was seeing crazy IAT's. at least 50 over ambient typically.
