After the conversation i've just had with my dealer, you might want to arm yourself with the attached ...
I take it he wanted to charge you current prices and you put him straight?

I'm still hoping that my initial order with its pricing is going to save the unnecessary unpleasantness...

My dealer confirmed that the price on the day of deposit stands. Don't understand why there could be any doubt.

Because the invoice has now been generated and Ford have used the current price not the original price, thats why. I've told the dealer the original price stands and to sort it out, and had to send him a copy of the price list i've attached here.

Good post!

Mine is £35,385 total as GT manual, magnetic, custom pack. :)
So I owe £34,385

When do they expect payment, I assume on collection like any other new car?

I emailed my dealer a while back about this. He confirmed I will pay the price I ordered at - got it on email so assume that's good enough!

Got him to do a few finance quotes as well & he used the correct price...

Didn't do this by email but when I last discussed this with my dealer, he confirmed they would honour the original quote.

£35,150 (GT, Magnetic Auto).

Good choice ;) think I may have the cheapest option! £29,595. The 595 is the paint though so no doubt some with the original base price of @28,995!

It still blows my mind what we are getting for our money, I know the ordering process has been a nightmare to live with but I have no doubts that we will forget all about it! Not long now guys

Don't panic - I reckon these are automatic "system generated" things... Remember that the "real" ordering system wasn't in place when we placed our first orders.
My dealer has also confimed the price as at time of order.

My dealer didn't even charge me the VED rise as he thought it unfair.

Just for clarification, i'm making the point that cars already on their way over have had their invoices created. Irrespective of what your dealer has told you, or promised you they're coming through at current prices, mine would now be a £1000 more.

I told my dealer exactly what i'm expecting to pay £28,995 + £595 + £295, then he asked for the Jan price list from me so he could use that to get the prices altered.

I could be being cynical but Ford could well be trying it on for the less savvy customers out there ... and there will be some!

Ford trying it on would be my belief as it happens all the time. Some folk will just pay up.

Question...what would you do if Ford insist on the price as at actual order date of 27/5/15?
