Clutch chatter make it stop!!!

Just got my clutch back from McLeod. They had to replace the pressure plate and resurface the steel flywheel. When I first picked the car up I noticed clutch chatter. I've had the car for two days now and it's gotten a little better but it's still noticeable especially in Rev and 1st gear. When will it go away?? How many miles does it take to go away? Same clutches, new pressure plate and resurfaced steel flywheel do I still have to wait 500 miles to get on it? Thanks for the help.

Yes you have to wait 500 miles whenever a flywheel is replaced or resurfaced. As far as chatter... no idea.

Break in period? no hard pulls right? No red line pulls?

just normal stop and go driving is the best .. no long highway drives .... the more work the clutch gets the better for break in

Took almost 7 to 8k miles to break in my ACT HD clutch. It shook baaad. Now its pretty good though. Most of my miles are frwy which is why it took so damn long to break in

The rxt requires more revs at takeoff. Rev up around 1500 then slip the clutch. Mine does the same. Im told its normal.

^^^ What he said, you will instinctively change how you drive. I friggen hated the chatter. Felt like a total noob bucking at stop lights. For giggles, i realized I can actually drive first without the gas or chatter now. It still sneaks in on occasion

Excatley the rxt or any of the ceramic clutches require more rpm when getting the car moving,this will stop the chatter after its broken in.
