Interesting. Although it doesn't make a lot of sense.

According to these prices, a GT350R w/touring pkg would cost the same as GT350 w/track pkg. So its almost the same car but with ceramic brakes and carbon fibre wheels included.

Seems too good to be true.
I would expect the Track Package to be required when getting the R package, but keep in mind the R package also includes rear seat delete, ac delete, radio delete, so there's a lot of costs NOT going into the car.

The Tech package better come with something special, because $7500 for what comes standard in a "premium GT" is wildly overpriced.

Until we know what the base car comes with and what each of these packages consist
of, were still making wild guesses. I hope its all released soon.

Very reasonable, but still means a bit over $50k for the car you want.
My GT was $43,800. Getting a well-equipped GT350 for less than $15K more than that is astounding.

If only they offered this with an automatic, I'd be all over it.

I'm thinking the prices just aren't correct. No way a GT350 with the Track Pack is more than a GT350R. This would make my year, but it cannot be correct...if only for exclusivity and marketing reasons. I get the content argument, kinda, with the deleted stuff on the R, but CCBs aren't cheap either...even if they are only the fronts.

Ignoring that this is as much an emotional purchase for some than a numbers one the GT350 is not even a close comparison to the SS.

We have some estimates, GT350R should have 520/420 hp tq on the conservative side, weight will be at least 200lbs less than GT (announced 130lb drop from GT350 I can't find GT350 numbers.) with other estimates putting it at 440 less than GT.

1/4 mile does not really matter for this car since it was build for track, and track times don't really matter cause of all the variables.

ZL1 will also be priced higher as Chevy tends to do.

Closest relative engineering wise is Ferrari California, which has 125 pounds over base GT, at least 40 less HP, 70 ft-lbs torque less. Its' 0-60 was 3.8 so do the math we looking at 3.6 conservatively.
I read that the base GT 350 weight will be close to base weight of GT. then the R will weigh 130lbs less then a track pack optioned GT350. So the question is, how much will the track pack weigh with mag Ride?

Gt500 had an msrp around $55k, I can't see the GT350 being cheaper given just how much nicer of an overall car it is

You got to remember that the GT500's had superchargers which aren't cheap. Aftermarket cost $7K, so figure OEM cost of $3,500, so my thoughts are a GT350 should come in less than a supercharged GT500.

My guess is the R includes the Track Pack so it will actually be $10,000 more than base GT350. $6500 Track Pack plus $3500 over GT350.

I think that's how it will be, which sucks because it means the base GT350 is going to be much closer to $50k than $45k.
