2015 GT just caught fire a few hours ago... (pictures)

Someone's 2015 GT just caught fire on the highway a few hours ago... Haven't heard what the cause was yet but I hope to get an update soon. I hope this doesn't happen to any of the others!

I really wish people would have a full story before posting On here. We will now have 5 page argument about if it's recall worthy and somewhere in the middle it will turn out to be user error or something they hit and no one will ever see... looks bad though hope everyone is ok!

That's horrible. Curious of the cause.

That sucks! The fire started in the driver side engine compartment. Did he have any recent work done on it?

WOW That sucks please give us updates to the cause if you can figure it out did he have Mods done to the car ??

Everyone is alright, thankfully! I don't believe he had any mods or any work done to it. I promise I will post updates as soon as I hear anything more.

Dejavu man. I feel for your boy. Mine was caused by the line leading to the fuel rail popping off. Hope everything works out.

He only posted pictures of his friends catching fire.

He didn't blame anyone or any entity.

He stated he will keep is updated as more info comes out.

Could be an isolated freak situation, not a recall.

Glad no one was hurt.

This is the third one to catch fire.

That totally blows.
Looks like the only thing that would have stopped that fire would be an on-board FE-36 or AFFF suppression system.
Glad nobody was injured.

The two in the pictures above are 5.0
Do you know what the third car was?

It looks like a front end collision with something. the front end sheet metal is way too beat up just from fire or the firefighters tugging on it.

Look at the white one, the metal is pretty intact. The blue one looks like the whole front end is gone from the wheels forward.

I'm curious also.
Even with safe guards built-in, I kinda think of the EB with it's DI and super high fuel rail pressure as a potential underhood fire bomb if anything went wrong.
