I was trying to decide what sway bar upgrade I wanted for me GTPP...
I wished someone had put a list like this together on this site. It would be cool if other members chime in with sizes missing from my list...

I went with the BMR's. Front is on middle hole, back in on inner most hole. Having added Michelin Pilot SS tires, the handling has improved dramatically. With the rear sway bar set to full tight, the car had a slight propensity to oversteer - which I did on purpose: you'll see why in a sec...

The Mustang, as many magazine and video reviews have noticed, has a slight dead area around center. My car was no exception.

From what I have found this is due to the toe-in specification being very close to zero. So having dialed the sway bars in for slight oversteer, I was able to crank a 1/4 turn (tie-rod) on each side to dial in a bit of toe-in. This corrected the oversteer and eliminated the dead spot... Handling and feel are just :D

Cheers!

Keep in mind, there's a lot more to sway bars than simply their size. Here come the size jokes.

Biting my tongue, so many memes......

Pivot point and mounting option is critical as well.
This is not turning out well.............

Gimme a big one.

In a serious note, I do need to upgrade bars.

Nice post! It's always great to have good data like this available.

Time to add a new category on the list.
Convertibles CVCashmere got my EB PP sways as listed above.
He has a GT vert.
He checked his rear bar and it is a 20 mm.
Pending front bar size.

Thanks John! Now...I have to check out my front sway bar to see if it matches the same size as the other GT. We found out tonight that the GT Vert has a smaller bar than the coupe.

My hunch is that the front will be the same as the coupe GT.

Thanks

Better put solid or hollow on that chart. I think the Strano rear bar is same diameter as the stock PP rear bar, but solid (so stiffer) and adjustable.

I read that the stiffness of a bar increases with the fourth power of diameter? So compared to the GT PP 32mm front bar, the 35mm bars are actually 40% stiffer? That true?
Not exactly, but close. If they are solid then yes you can simplify it that way. Since most are hollow you have to take into account the wall thickness, which is a slightly different equation. The length of the arm to the main rotating axis of the bar would also have to be the same. In general it's a good swag at relative stiffness.

Even better would be an objective rate comparison like the sticky for spring rates. Seems like this info is a little hard to come by.

The GT, EcoB, and V6 front bars are all 32mm hollow, but the wall thickness is different. I haven't found specifications yet to compare wall thickness of these bars, so any comparison of their relative stiffness would only be speculation.
