I'll redo my review since I've had them on for about a year now.

My biggest compliment is the fact that these do REALLY well as speed bump guards. Mine have some pretty good abrasions on them from when I was on lowering springs(just Eibach Pros). Now that I'm on AirLift, it's not a big deal.

The biggest negative for me was that they hung down just a bit too low on lowering springs to get lift arms under them without having to drive up onto a shallow ramp.

Other than that, these are a great, cheap investment! :)

do these help with stiffening up the car (convertible)?

when I have the G-Trac K-Member and Strut Tower braces installed? (K-brace too I believe under the hood)?

Great review of the Steeda Jacking Rails & a very important benefit!

I have the Steeda Rails and like that they protect the pinch rails. My car is lowered and I frequently rub the Steeda rails on speed bumps and what not. I know that when I rub, I'm only scratching the Steeda rails and NOTHING else on my car.

I feel that Steeda should include this in their advertising as one of the benefits of the jacking rails

Finally put mine on today along with the hood struts. Jacking rails go on real easy and they're tucked in nicely. Barely anything sticking out; my headers and the G-trac k-member brace are the lowest things to the ground on the car.

Digital, how have the rails been - any concerns?

Best Regards,

TJ

tj@steeda I'm so sorry, I just saw this post. The rails have been great. It's just my jacking skills that lack, lol. These rails have doubled as "rock sliders" here recently. I slide on them pretty much daily because of the road and gate to my neighborhood. :frusty:

I just put the jacking rails on my Mustang last weekend and what I find weird is that they are not that long. Feels like if I want to put the whole car on jack stands, it would be unbalanced in the rear. Can I use the jacking rails to jack up the whole car at once or should I use the original jacking points in the rear for that?

Edit:
What about jacking up both sides of the car at the same time? If one side is already jacked, wouldn't the jack stands tilt if I lift up the other side of the car?

You won't have any issues using the jack stands with the length of the Steeda Jacking Rails:

If you watch the video above you can see we jacked up one side of the car and then the other. There is no easier way to do it.

Also one thing to remember is how much better balanced the S550's are over previous generation Mustangs. We spent a lot of time in engineering figuring out what the perfect length was for the right balance and the least amount of weight possible.

The team at Steeda was asked to come up with a lightweight Jacking Rail system that didn't add a bunch of weight to your 2015-2016 S550 Mustang. Well, the wait is over!

Made in-house from the same material we have used to keep Fox Mustangs from flexing for 25+ years, these chassis Jacking Rails feature CAD-designed, laser cut, high-strength steel brackets and stout 2" x 1-1/2" steel tubing.

Powdercoated wrinkle black for a low key, yet durable finish, these will last a lifetime under your S550 Mustang. Unlike the other options available, Steeda includes Zinc-plated, flange-headed, grade 10.9 hardware - a simple bolt-in design that can be removed at any time as they use factory mounting holes.

These allow you to jack up your Mustang with confidence anywhere along the jacking rail, preventing damage to your factory pinch welds. They provide a great point for jack stands and 2 post lifts. Lastly, these will work with Steeda's IRS Subframe Support Braces without interference. Steeda's new Ultra Lite Chassis Jacking Rails add strength and function to your modern muscle car.

Key Benefits:
- 40% lighter than the competition, only 14 lbs.
- Allows you to jack up your S550 anywhere along the jacking rail, preventing damage to your factory pinch welds
- Open mounting bracket design prevents water from getting trapped and therefore eliminating chances of rust
- Will work with Steeda's popular IRS Subframe Support Braces
- Includes all necessary mounting hardware unlike the competition
- Fits all S550 models (GT, V6, EcoBoost, Coupe/Convertible)
- Lifetime warranty, made in the USA

The install is super easy, honestly takes 10 minutes and that includes jacking the car up if you choose to for the install. For the price ($139.95 shipped), this mod is a no brainer. We have these in stock and ready to ship!
Bump for new members that may not be aware!
