That's silly. If both sets of numbers come from the same dyno, the difference is what counts, not the individual numbers.

Seems like great gains for a tune only.
We appreciate the kind words! Thanks for your feedback

Any certified installers in AZ?

Will the tune allow 87 octane use?

87 octane tune is pretty much a trans tune you wont see these kinds of gains on that set up

As stated above, there's not much in the way of gains to be had on 87 octane (though the Flex Fuel tune may allow for that, not sure).

Installing is incredibly easy.

1. Plug into OBD II port
2. Follow straightforward instructions on device
3. Enjoy

We do not recommend the use of 87 octane in these high performance vehicles, its never really the best fuel for a sports car to have in our opinion.

And why run that 87 when you can gain so much power by running the right fuel with a tune! Its amazing what we have been able to do with these vehicles just by tweaking things

So out of curiosity, what are the options for 92 octane (highest available here) or is it essentially still a 93 octane tune for those who run on 92?

If you do tune specifically for 92 octane do you have dyno data you can share?

Using 87 octane when driving over 30k miles a year saves hundreds of dollars a year. I don't need high performance when sitting in traffic during my commute. I want to high performance when I want it to use it.

Sorry but I don't see the need for a couple extra horsepower when I'm commuting. Doubt that will help me more when merging on the freeway. My commute isn't filled with exotics trying to cut me off.

Not to mention many states, like AZ, only have 91 octane max available.

Until there is a solid tune that plays nice with 87, I won' even consider it. Why throw away money? (rhetorical question)

there are some good scientific videos about this
if the engine can produce more power at lower rpms by adjusting timing = you have a more efficient engine
some vehicles get better mpg with better quality fuel
so at the end if you have done the math, you might only loose a couple hundred $

No kidding their excuse is they have to commute. Bud, get a commuter car and save the mustang for hooning on weekends or take mustang to work just fridays.

I guess if they can't afford the few extra dollars to run 91+ vs 87 your commuter might have to be a BMX.

It costs me a whopping $3 more per fill up to use 93 instead of 87. I get gas once a week, so over a year it would be less than $200. Stop getting the grande starbucks with caramel and whip cream once a week and you save double that a year.

@Livernois, does this tune work well with "winter blend" gas? I am torn between the Ford PP2 which saves the warranty and a custom tune so I don't have to deal with the no-lift strategy.
