So it looks like the Mickey Thompson ET Street II are the wheels to get. . .
I see on their website getting these for a 17 inch rim is cheapest way to go. As you go 18, 19, 20 the wheel gets more expensive by over $100 per tire. I am only going to use these wheels a couple times a year.
Racestar (per cost) on teambeefcakeracing seems to be the cheapest way to get a 17 inch rim. American muscle and most everywhere else is pointing me to a 18 or bigger rim for the 2015.
Before I pull the trigger, does anyone know of anyone selling a 17x9.5 or 17x10 rim that will fit my car or a sub $200 wheel anywhere? I want to get these soon and get back out to the track.
Side note, when I do get these on the car, what tire pressure should I run at the track, and (my car is a manual) what RPM do you think I should launch at? I'm off to a poor start at the track so far with this car. . .
1st time broke half shaft on launch
2nd time, couldn't get traction in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear pulled 14.77
3rd time, Felt like a decent launch (Nitto Invo 315x35x20) but it was a 2.6 60ft; SES light came on I said oh shit left off the gas before 1/8 mile pulled a 12.77 at 117. Couldn't figure it out at the track limped home turned out to be plug for fuel injector somehow popped off (dammit)
So now I'm trying to get sticker tires and go back out.
