Pretty bad. Gets me how some folks can spend the price of admission for a truly great automobile and then cheese it up with cheap vinyl graphics or try to make a GT350 into an "R". Instead of spending a bunch of cash on aftermarket doodads, just pony up for the real thing already.
The supercharger is one thing, but the making a non-"R" look like an "R" is a whole different thing. Its deep, lol.
There is a certain type of person (we all know one) who is all about appearance. To the degree that "we" (the other type of people) couldn't possible do the things they do to look like they're something they're not.
I look at it like... The car you can get is plenty. It is what it is. Isn't my car, I love it...They are all about...I'm too cheap (YES. In my experience the guys who drive counterfeit cars *that's exactly what they're driving* have the money for the car they faking, they're just too CHEAP to pay the extra scratch for the upgraded model. However they WANT the "prestige" that goes with those precious badges. They don't give a FUCK about the performance those badges may represent. So the fake it. They lack self awareness in all things. They're too shameless/clueless/cheesy enough to understand that they look pathetic to the people who know.
I'm not doing the best job of expressing myself, but...
I have a cousin whos had LOTS of awesome cars. But he's the guy who gets a brand new base model Corvette and promptly gets the wheels, badges, etch. to make his awesome corvette into the FAKE Z06. He then parades his car around his small town for all of the folks to admire him, and he doesn't know that they're straight LAUGHING at him!
Dig?
So fresh air enters through the grill. It is forced through the A/C and cooling system heat exchangers. It then exits (not all of it but for sake of argument...) the engine bay through the hood via the factory "honeycomb," horizontally mounted, grille. Which then gets recaptured and forced back into the engine bay via the ingenious aft mounted scoop. This is assuming that under the Advance Auto scoop that the hood has been trimmed. If it hasn't been opened up and just sits there it just acts as an obstruction, creating "dirty" airflow.
So a loss in performance no matter how it was done and a loss in aesthetics as it mimics mounting a sphincter atop one's forehead.
Let's think of the logic behind this even if it were functional. Let's add that shit only to hvae the hot radiator air blast right back into the engine bay? Just...c'mon.
