Mustang Sales Feb over Camaro: 3,842
Only went up about 600 Cars from 5,551 last month too. This time last year the Mustang hit 9k cars if I remember correctly.

I think the well balanced performance, options and cost has proved to be a huge success for the Mustang. It looks like the S550 is well on track to sell another 100,000+ cars for 2016 :)

Who else feels that the excuse about lagging sales "because the T-4 engine option isn't available" is crap? I mean with the Mustang EcoBoost, it makes more power than the V6 and has a ton of upgrade potential. With the Camaro, it makes even less HP than their V6. I don't really see that version being a strong seller. I know I wouldn't even remotely consider buying one.

I agree 1000000000%.

The car is perfect really. I know a lot of us would have loved a more focus suspension for track duty but in stock form, it runs just fine.

The aftermarket is there, too, of course.

I keep saying this and will, the lines of this car are beyond beautiful and sexy. It is truly an exotic looking domestic marvel. People still snap their neck around to look at my car in my town. A small town of 22k.

Don't worry...the Camaro crowd will have an excuse as to why it's not selling as well as it should.

They like to pull the "it's still winter" argument...yet that doesn't hurt the Mustang any..
Never go full fanboy.

How many 4 cylinder Camaro have hit the dealer lots? :thumbsup:

So the most economical and bang for the buck with mod potential won't be the biggest seller of the lineup? Ha.

I guess time will tell though.

If you look on their forums (I lurk), it's almost like everyone "knows someone" who is "just waiting for the turbo 4 model!"

It's like they expect the lots to be flooded with base model turbo 4's that will just cobble up sales...BZZZZT, wrong. Dealers will still likely only regularly order 2LT turbo 4's, which start at over $30,000.

Hell if you just want a base Camaro (turbo 4) with an automatic and no other options it's going to run you $28,190. A similar (base EcoBoost automatic) Mustang is $27,740. An EB PP Auto is $29,735.

So the price of entry on the Camaro is higher in every way (it's still over $1,000 more expensive than a 051A V6 Auto Mustang), has a less livable interior (Blah blah "much more refined")...

There's a problem brewing for Camaro fans..the new car is simply too expensive relative to the immediate competitor

Exactly!!

The bolded part is where I think it speaks volumes for what Ford did with the 6G styling. I bet it is a 50/50 mix of die-hard car folks and non-automotive enthusiasts like you stated, that come up and look at the car, front to back, top to bottom and side to side.
