If anyone is looking to try a new wax, this stuff works great. A bit pricey at $36 or so for a tin, but it went on really easy, wiped off easy, and didn't leave any marks on my plastic trim. I was using Chemical Guys Wet Butter Wax but this seems to add more depth to the car, and is supposed to last a lot longer. I was surprised how easy it went on and wiped off, even more so than the liquid Butter Wax. Does anyone else use it? How long do you find it last?

Yep! I was looking for a new, longer lasting wax and apparently this stuff isn't that well known, but popular in some of the car show crowds. I'm really happy with it, and I hope it last as long as the reviews say. It's nice not having wax marks on my plastic trim, even the Butter Wax left white residue, this Collinite left no residue what-so-ever and was even easier to remove than the liquid Butter Wax. I found the key is to apply it in really thin coats.

I have used the 845 for a while. It goes on easy and comes off easy also with no stains on the plastic trim. Lasts for weeks.

Yeah, it's nice not having to scrub wax off plastic trim. I thought the Butter Wax, which I normally use, wasn't supposed to leave any marks on the trim, but it always did. The Collinite left none. I think I found my new wax.

845 is great stuff but it definitely stains the plastic trim. I could never get it off. Anyone have a tip for that?

And I find it lasts months, not weeks. Great stuff

Pink rubber pencil eraser to remove wax from plastic trim. I seen a few people on here talking about it before and gave it a try, it worked.

when the eraser trick doesn't work (i have a hard time with it on textured plastics getting in the textures) McKee's 37 wax remover works amazingly well. Spray on and let sit for 10 seconds or so and brush off with a soft bristled brush and wipe off.

I'm probably in the minority, but I love how 845 smells. It's like petrol, heavy industrial solvents, crazy-ass nanopolymer science smelling stuff. None of that fruity shit other manufacturers go for.

I mean, it's a fucking car wax, not a wax candle. It smells like performance.

2nd that...works well when used as directed. Love 845..I put that over Wolfgang's High Gloss Paint sealant...pics in the lightning blue picture forum.

I just got myself a tin also. How long does a coating usually lasts from your experience?

845 is the go to for me...all of the collinite waxes are excellent including the marine fleetwax. I've been experimenting with hydroblue as a maintenance layer over the 845 and I have to say the beading and ease of cleaning is outstanding.

So far the 915 is working great. I put 2 coats on when I originally wrote this post back in Nov., and the water still beads. I'll wax it again this spring.

I agree, Butter Wet Wax, while easy to apply, only last 2 or 3 weeks on my car which is always parked outside and daily driven.
