I rarely drive this car in the rain so I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the water shedding properties of CQUARTZ topped with ECH20.

I did the coating about 5 months ago, and use the ECH20 mixed at about 10-1 applied to the car wet when drying.

Try ECH20, I use it as a drying aid, waterless wash for spot cleaning, you name it. It kicks up the shine even another step. I love it

You must be one hell of a detailer because it looks a lot different than my 2 other cars that were waxed around the same time with carnuba.

YUP!!
I have Cquartz Finest on my truck and it beads like mad. Sheets of rain just slide right off when driving. Stuff is amazing. Never mind the way it looks when clean and the protection it provides against light scratching and marring from washing and whatnot.
You should use RELOAD on it every once in a while to help promote the life of the Cquartz.

You're unlikely to get water spots from rain water. Water spots come from dissolved minerals drying on your paint.

Yup. It doesn't take much for water to bead. You also want it to run off the car as well.

So your sealant cost less than a dollar?
Per application yup. Bottle is $30 for 16oz. Only need reapply every 6 months.

Haven't even used half of bottle up in 3 years of ownership now. You should not be using that much at all if applied correctly and thin, maybe half an ounce.

Unrelated to this thread, IMO coatings are a overpriced fad right now for the "set it and forget it generation" Notice how they get you into this regimen of buying their products to then "keep up the coating" too. It's a big money pit of potentially snake oil that no one can prove anything either way

1 or 2 microns (a human hair is 100 microns) of coating is not doing, or not proven by any reputable science to do, much more than wax and sealant for the paint. Perhaps MINOR minor towel mark resistance being harder than a wax or sealant, but nothing close to what manufacturers want to claim.

You're absolutely correct it does. The way the water beads looks totally different on my truck as well.

You need to do some research on water spots.
