Nice car mate is it a....?

I'm sure loads of you have had this too, but wanted to share my 2 favourites:

- "... a Ferrari?". From a guy working in a petrol station. Can only assume he saw the Mustang on the front and the mental association was the the Ferrari logo.

- "... a GTR?". Slightly more confused by this one - OK it has GT on the back, but no R, and the lights are totally the wrong shape.

Still loving the attention these cars get 6 months after taking delivery of mine!

Had a kid (8 years old?) over the summer shout out "is that a Ferrari?" Happens... I wish kid, I wish. (actually, I wish I had a Lamborghini - never liked Ferarri, but that's a different discussion)

At a bar last weekend a bouncer was watching me parallel park in front of the bar. Was a tight spot so it took me 2 tries but I got it. We chatted for a bit once we entered the bar. Most love the Mustang. Some want to race and some are downright "Ford Sucks", "Mustang Sucks", etc...

I get / got a bit over the summer with the top down. Now that it's fall - not a lot of people walking streets or windows open to shout out at you. It'll pick up in the spring again I'm sure haha.

Ferrari is a common one I get, even more so because it's bright red.

"I already am..." "maybe i am..." and "introduce me to your mum then..."

are all fitting lines in response.

As long as nobody thinks it's a Jag... as I think I'd probably slap them!

Had a copper who stopped me saying what is it? and what's it worth? 130k?, 150k?

He was shocked when I told him not much more than his patrol car.

A parking ticket guy put it down as a Ford Capri which got me off the fine.

Never had anyone ask me what the Mustang is. I have a 2013 Morgan Threewheeler & loads have asked what it is, or did you build/restore it yourself? When I say its a 2013 car some ask 1913?
Considering its such a simple car, no doors, no roof, no screen or heater & only electronics is the engine ECU its very expensive to maintain. Totally impractical but like a Mustang fantastic fun. Only other connection with a Mustang is an American V engine a 2 litre S&S V twin.
