If it's like the modern Match box then it'll be plastic....totally rust proof!!Congrats man, what's the underseal like? ;)
Now that is impressiveBetter late than never ..... .....
That Spit is magnificent - it looks like an Mk Vb...?Thank you very much gentlemen, appreciate your feedback.
I have a P51 to do next but I just cant seem to find the time! .... the Spitfire took me about 3 months! (not all in one go however!). Then I have a Typhoon (WW2 not current) and a Mosquito to do, so plenty to keep me busy.
I'm hoping Ford might like the P51 when it's finished - I'll swap them for a GT350! ..... but a real one obviously! Over to you Andy Barratt
..... oh yes, I forgot! I also have a 1:8 scale Ayrton Senna Mclaren MP4/4. Awesome!

Thanks. Yes, a Vb - the 1:24 Trumpeter kit. A couple of years back I found myself with some time on my hands, so in addition to the 300 miles a week I was doing on my bike I fancied having a go at building a Spitfire. I must have been about 15 or 16 the last time I did a plastic model kit (and that is a LONG time ago!), and I'd never done one using an airbrush or anything like that so it was a bit of a voyage of discovery! Thank goodness for the internet.do you get on britmodeller - some amazing cars by roymattblack on there and the race 81 spitfire build is eye watering too.
Really really nice work, thank you for sharing it
