I'm on Pilot Sport 4s 295's. But the tires were cold, and I wasn't thinking. 100% my own fault.

I thought this tires where the best now on the market for wet/cold conditions :eyebulge: :eyebulge:

Well, we need to be really careful with this car in cold/wet conditions...

Sorry this happened to you. Yes these cars are like wild animals if you don’t know how to drive them. You can find plenty of sideskirts on ebay, oem and aftermarket ones, or I am sure that PJ MustangMustHaves can fix you up.

To post the video, simply upload it on youtube and copy-paste the link here
I will scout eBay and see if I can find some new. Or else PJ can help out, but last time I needed a few things I ended up more than a few thousand euros. :headbonk:
Will try and upload to Youtube later, so You all can see how quickly it went sideways. Pun intended.

I test drove two GT's last weekend with cold Pirelli's. Good grief how they sucked. One car had 10.000 km and the rear tires were almost bold, which obviously made things even worse.

Oh. Scary situation!
But thanx for sharing, at least we will pay more attention again.

May I ask what gear you was in (you have manual or auto?)

First: good to hear that nobody was hurt - except for an ego perhaps.
Second: thanks for sharing - it's a good reminder of how powerful those beasts are, and how quickly things can go sideways when least expected.

So, drive safe everybody!

Thanks for sharing. Yes we tend to forget how easily these cars can go sideways... Good reaction though keeping the car going straight, things could have turned bad at that speed

By the way did you find what you were looking for?

No I didn't find new sideskirts yet.

I kinda think all those thousand of hours playing videogames when I was a teenager helped. It was just natural reaction. From the second the rear started slippin' I did the right thing. Let off the gas. No excessive steering input. And NO braking. If I had stomped on the brakes it would have been a totally different story.
But shit was sketchy as hell. And the video don't do the sketchyness justice.

Pretty sure I was in 3rd. by the sound of it. Have a manual.
Oh, i wont expect this on 3rd goinn. But i guess wetness did the thing.
I got few unexpected slips when takeoff in this time of year but usually on 1st or 2nd.
Well, we have to pay respect to our beasts...

What about tire pressure? Was it OK?
Or maybe some bump on road that leaded to loosing on one wheel?

A slight bend with a little power and slippery roads is the perfect mix for your back end to try and catch up to the front :) From my little experience sharper turns often result in the front end losing grip first.

If I am lucky enough to get a hold of my Mustang next year I am most afraid of the slight bends that look fine to accelerate in :) But wet roads are prolly the biggest factor here.

Remember KapiteinLangzaams video ? @4:25 [ame=""]

Nobody knows when Ford EU will release the pricing and the configurator, but it won't be long since the first production slots are for January and Ford needs one month for production planning.

Guys,

I'm looking to buy new lug nuts for me car, during the winter wheels installation I saw that my OEM nuts are really in a bad shape... So I'm looking the buy a new set, more robust and in black this time.

Don't want to spend over 100€ for the Gorilla version from CJPP. I'm looking to find a EU shop.

Maybe someone already had a look at this and can share that with me :D

Thanks in advance
