So, I tried first searching to see if this topic has been covered before (no one likes a duplicate post :D), and all I could find was a thread started by MCarsFan that quickly digressed into name calling and the like.

It's about time for me to replace my R's Sport Cup 2 Tires, and I am wanting to look at alternatives. I love the OEM tires; however, I'd like to find something that will allow for more longevity, as I have been (and plan to continue) driving the car a lot.

I know I could go with aftermarket wheels as well, but I'd like to keep with the stock carbon fiber.

Any suggestions? Thanks! :ford:

I've been looking at the New Pilot Sport 4s.

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Pilot+Sport+4S

So far, they only come in a 305/325 sizes, no 315.

I have aftermarket wheels but have enjoyed my Hankook Ventura V12's... they are a 315/30 tire and there is obvious handling differences between them and the SC2's, but I got them (4) under $1g and they last much much longer and have good weatherability.

I'd keep my eyes on how the Sport 4S's do. YOu're clearing looking for a street tire though and not an Extreme Performance or DOT legal race tire but don't want to sacrifice TOO much performance despite it being on the street.

I'm on Bridgestone RE71R square 305 setup. Works fine

I think your choices will be limited in matching front and rear, thats not to say theres none out there. I checked DISCOUNT TIRES site tire finder and doesn't look for matching front and rear. Might be easier to go to their store (or competitors) and let their fingers do all the walking.

Really any 200 TW tired would be on my list (depending on if I can get the size I want) ...

you really won't go wrong with Bridgestone Potenza RE11 or RE71

Is it easy to find shops that will work with the CF wheels?
