So, last night I had the windows down and heard what sounded like brake squeal, but only when turning and it would continue for a few hundred feet after accelerating out of the corner. It would also squeal if I jerked the wheel to the right real quick, like avoiding roadkill. I brought the car to the dealership today, since it’s still under warranty, and they say “The vehicle needs new brake pads and rotors, all under warranty.” This seems a little strange to me since it doesn’t squeal while braking and the car only has 27k miles.
I was wondering if anyone has heard of having brake squeal only when turning, not while applying brakes? Anything I should ask the dealer on Monday when I pick the car up?
