all cars got problems, so it comes down to this

1. Drive what you like.
2. Find a manufacture that actually backs their product. This can be dealer based as well. But in my history of fords, unless it blew up the dealer wont be able to replicate the issue. They wonder why they dont do my oil changes lol

Kia and hyundai are known to refuse warranty for all sorts of absurd crap. Don't bank on them putting a new engine in for you at 50k if you throw a rod. Kia dealers are considered to be some of the worst.

This is coming from someone who ditched their mustang because I was fed up with the issues.

I would not recommend the Kia. Especially until some people have reported issues. Remember the genesis 5.0? That engine burned oil like it was a rotary. Hyundai said it was normal.
Neighbor3 houses away was a Hyundai fanboy until his Tucson had engine issues 100miles past the warranty. Hyundai refused to do anything. Their prerogative but poor customer relations

He now drives a Honda Civic and loves it
