So some coward hater decided to key my car while i was at work. I was wondering what are my options to fixing this. The main scratch catches my fingernail and is deep.

Depending how deep it is.
If not through clear, they might be able to polish it out.

Unfortunately no. My car was parked right in front. People are walking in and out all the time. The passenger side was facing away from the store I work at. So it would be easy for someone just walk past and key it. I can polish a little bit out but the main scratch is deep.

Wipe over the scratch with some mineral spirits. If the scratch is blue when it is wet, it isn't through the base coat. If the scratch is still white and doesn't most disappear, it is through the clear and into the base. If it is just in the clear, a good body or detail shop can brush clear into the scratch and then wet sand/buff it a day later. If it's into the blue base, the panel will have to be painted- not an easy color to match, either.

Just the fender? I would probably leave it for now. Maybe buy a motion detect dash cam?

Run some painters tape as close as you possibly can down each side of the scratch. Get some sand paper in fine grit such as 2000. Sand the scratch a little. Get the touch up paint with the clear coat from your ford dealer and paint it. Then sand it. And clear coat. And sand that and see what happens. If that scratch is too deep, you might have to start by using a fine filler such as nitro stan.

For what it's worth I'd rather be a guy with an awesome DIB Mustang with a vandalized fender than a jealous d-bag who can only express their lack of character by keying another person's car.

I fully endorse the taking-it-to-a-shop idea. Much better to get it fixed right than try to buff it out, IMO. Still sucks though. :(

I mean who even does that. What kind of low life POS do you have to be to do that. I almost wonder if it was some sort of 'accident' from someone not paying attention while holding something. But if it's that deep I don't see how.

Man that really sucks! I've had two cars keyed in the past and had to have it repainted both times.

Wow, that sucks man. Judging by the circumstances it's not going to polish out. You're going to need to contact a body shop and depending on what your insurance deductable is you may want to claim it.
