I actually just worked on it. Did some rough trimming and was able to do a rough fitment. Still need to do some more sanding before I can glue it together.

Looking good. I can't stop staring at that picture, lol. I'm still amazed how cheap the new one was. I'll have my car in a few days so I might be ordering a couple those real sson. I'm also seriously considering buying a blank tail light as well.

Ordered an extra grille to do a DIY grille delete.

Since I had the honeycomb section that I cut out for the grille and my original grille, I though I would try my hand at making my own OEM looking pony-less grille delete.

I first cut out the pony from the cut-out grille and then used that as a template to cut out the section I will be replacing on my original grille.

I then cut out the pony from my original grille.

Here is the honeycomb cutout behind the pony grille cutout.

I need to trim up the honeycomb cutout and remove the blocked off sections. Then i can glue, sand and paint. Hopefully it all comes out nicely.
Nice job. But I am more interested in the color and stripe package. What color is the car? Magnetic? And what is the stripe package?
Thanks!

It's especially funny when you get pulled over and the cop doesn't know the make/model
Yeah, getting pulled over by the cops is a real laugh riot.

And most traffic cops will recognize a Mustang when they see one, badges or no badges.

You would think. I got pulled over in college by a university cop and he couldn't even tell i was driving a civic.

My car is Black with matte black stripes and a metallic gunmetal pinstripe. more pictures in this thread.

Campus cops are much more sheltered than municipal police or state troopers. City officers tend to know more about motorcycles than cars. Some state troopers are car enthusiasts and are very knowledgeable about makes, models, performance, etc. Have met a couple of state guys who race on the weekends. One was a drag racer, the other an SCCA warrior.

It looks good, but i do want people know that i m driving a mustang so the pony looks ok however i don't want to offend anyone but 50 year appearance package with all that chrome looks the worse on this car especially in the grill, and actually you pay more to get it! Just my 2 cents!
