You could have them cut out and add flanges to the resonators, straight through pipes, and mating ends on the x-pipe and cat-back. But will add weight and more cost.

Not sure why ford made the resonator/x-pipe/cat back all one huge piece

Just cut them out and have a shop fab SS replacement pipes weld them in and done. Cost me 88 Bucks and 30 minutes......Steve

I don't think there will be a big weight savings since they get replaced with another set of steel piping.

I whole heartedly agree there. But just curious still. I would guess each resonator would weigh maybe 6lbs and pipe would be 2.

The ones on my GT were at least a few lbs each, its two layers of steel plus all the packing material

In for the video clip and impressions. Very interested in this, but primarily concerned about unwanted attention from the police.

The increase in volume from removing resonators is nothing compared to removing the catalytic converters. I think you'll be fine.

+1... it will already be getting plenty of attention in sport mode when you are loading the engine..removing the resonators wont make much of a difference

Very quiet in normal mode. 6th gear is no different on the highway than before.
