I was seeing how the GT 350 brake rotors hold up cosmetically overtime? They are great looking brake set up. I would like the way the rotor hats seems to have a polished look to it.

Does the finish on the road or hats hold up long-term?

Photos ar great:ford:

Do you guys do anything special for cosmetic upkeep on them?

Thanks

11,000 miles. Look great but the black calipers are severely faded looking at this point. Not sure what is up with that.

11500 miles and Rotors look like new, no problems. Did the R Red caliper swap early on and they also look great.

Well, that would explain it. I guess the prior guy was using something harsh to clean his wheels. I only use good quality auto soap to clean wheels and calipers. Probably go for the R calipers at some point or have these painted or coated an interesting color.

I use Sonax wheel cleaner, pricey and smells awful but does a great job at removing dirt and brake dust.

Seriously? It's a wear part.

Better yet, I can 100% bet that you haven't bedded your brakes in. Go do that. And then watch the beautiful purple hue come into the rotor. THAT'S cosmetic beauty in rotors.

Yeah, spend hours to make them look all purdy just to have dirty mucked up wheels and brakes the first stop afterwards.
