I'm looking for anyone that has used this clutch. Any information is appreciated. I ordered this from Beefcake.

I had it installed and it felt great..... Great product.

Now for the bad news, I went to Bowling Green on Thursday. I launched off the line at 5000 rpm and had SEVERE WHEELHOP! The track crew for the NMRA had not shown up yet and I didn't know how green the track was. Backed out of it, hit second, third and went to 4th gear and it was a ghost.

No griding, nothing. I'm having the transmission pulled to see what happened. Had a little clanging around in trans after that and wrench came on for a second. I don't know if it was clutch or the wheelhop.

Exedy was there and the reps took great care of me. They recommend stepping back to a Mach 600. They said it would be more than I needed for now and they would take care of me. Told me to keep the ET 04 XD for when I needed it.

So after this, Im checking into a Magnum XL kit and maybe change out the disc later for the ET 04 XD.

That's a pretty serious build to mate with an "OEM replacement" clutch.

The OEM will come with the stock like disc and puck disc. They said the puck will be more aggressive but will hold 650lbs of torque with 25 percent safety rating.

My car now only makes about 400 RWTQ.

The puck will be a good drag racing clutch that still maintains drive-ability. I'm glad Exedy got you sorted out. We have quite a few guys in the 700-800tq ranges running the Hyper and loving it.. time for some nitrous!! Haha

James Young Jr. from Exedy is the man! Since we are going with the Tremec Magnum XL it will withstand more clutch. We will either put the OEM style with a puck, but I'm leaning towards a twin disk setup like the ET 03 XD which may be just a disc change!

Exedy has some of the best customer service in the business.
You'll like the XL.. it can take a LOT more abuse!!! Keep us updated.
