Sure they can. First, I have not seen anywhere that Ford has explicitly claimed SAE J1349 certified. Second, every engine off the line is not tested, so even if they did state J1349, that's only valid for that engine, or whatever sample size they use. I'm not taking sides, just pointing out that there is absolutely no guarantee that if Ford says "SAE" that automatically means it isn't underrated.

Those ratios are so spaced together on the A10 it could almost be mistaken that it sounds like it's dragging itself on the torque converter.

Steeda just added a JLT to a 2018 and tuned it, gained 30WHP, video on their facebook page.

I am sure Lund will get 30WHP from the car.

So they are making like 450whp from just intake tune? Is that peak or best spot in the powerband? That's already like 500 crank. Just 10yrs ago it took a 5.4L and a blower to make that.

They did not post a graph.

But these cars will make 500 crank all day long with a good tune on Octane 93 fuel, said that for the past six months.

They DO NOT make 500HP stock though like many are claiming, the transmission are also just more efficient these days, particular automatics.

Yeah my 500hp est. is based on the 10-12% average we see in the A10 and assuming it's peak gains.

How is that redundant? You can have a 30whp gain someplace in the power band but only 25whp gain at peak.

10% losses would be 414 whp. They're making more than claimed. The way it stays at peak power through the gears is amazing.

People say this but I don’t feel any drop in power all the way to the 6500rpm redline:shrug:

Looking at dyno graphs of the gen 6 ss and 18 gt, both are making around 350 tq @6000 rpm.
The ss make at least 350 tq from 2000-6000rpm

The 18 gt does have a flatter curve up top no doubt; but to say the lt1 “falls on its face” is ignorant.

Yes what is very good on 2018 its making within 10HP of peak power at around 5500-6000 and it then seems to hold that peak without dropping off right upto 7000rpm.

So peak power does not only come earlier on 2018 it also then holds onto it longer and with the A10 being able to keep a car right in that peak power band I guess explains the 120mph trap speeds they are seeing.
