Some UK dealers have had brochures arrive, confirmation of standard features and very nice too, though this is just confirmation of what Europe already confirmed, but its great its now 100%:

- Heated wheel with higher quality leather
- Auto beams
- Radar cruise
- Active quad exhaust (GT Only)
- 12" digital cluster
- LED headlights with DRL's
- Pre collision assist
- Lane departure warning

Then of course other stuff like leather centre console, supposedly updated leather seats (better quality) and recaro option. Then of course the gen3 coyote, A10 etc, mag ride etc.

Its more expensive but your definetely getting a lot more features and performance out the box this time.

If they are getting brochures in then hopefully pricing and official ordering cannot be far away now :)

So, as Henry Ford might say (if he were around today)....."You can have it in any colour you like, as long as it's Race Red* "

December 1st is what they have been saying for past couple of weeks, so probably a few days later as Ford UK are typically late. :D

The 2018 Mustang power curve continues to impress.

This thing is making more power than outgoing GT at 5500rpm but even better the power never drops off, its building all the way to the 7400rpm limter, no more 6400rpm drop off like older gen2 coyote with GT manifold.

The torque curve is also flatter and longer.

It now really makes sense to me why the reviewers have being impressed with the grunt down low (torque curve) and then blown away by it in the upper RPM range and also explains why this car loves to rev very fast and very high as seen in Lunds videos.

I personally think Lund will get 450-460WHP just from a tune which will put the car around 500HP crank. :)

Also the new A10 is so much more efficient, its looks as efficient as a manual when it comes to transmission losses, hence the high wheel power figures on MY18 and the US guys loosing their minds thinking its 500HP stock, which it is not, just the transmissions are simply more efficient.

Saying that, at 435 whp, at only 10% efficiency loss (would be surprised its that low) makes this car 483 at the crank!

No, its a happy dyno, all we are interested in is the plot, not the numbers and the plot is bloody amazing, no more power drop off, which is why in Lund's videos the car is creaming round to 8200rpm NA.

The car will be 450-470HP crank, there are SAE rules which have to be obeyed.

Also remember all these dyno's are being done whilst it is Winter which will be helping figures also.

Seriously do not believe its a 500HP car, it really is not, that is just happy dyno's, cold days and well dyno operators thinking transmission still have trans losses of the 1960's.

Best case is a true 475HP, no higher. A tune will give you 500+ for sure, even on a RHD with bodged headers. :)

So the UK brochure has updated mpg figures so a nice improvement there and the power still matches EU cars of 450PS.

So maybe, just maybe Ford also fixed the headers, 450PS is 443HP by the way. :)

They do seem to have tuned a good chunk of torque out of the engine though, my guess is something to do with emissions / economy, I am not fussed about power, headers anyway, mine won't be staying stock. :)

Nothing a tune can’t fix/ give back

Interestingly, our cars look to be only 9/10bhp less the the US cars (453bhp vs 444bhp)

Exactly, a proper custom tune got my MY15 to 460HP with the only mods being the air box carbon trap removed and a K&N panel filter. 1/4 trap speed also went from 106mph upto 113mph, confirming the horsepower gain.

So is we start at 443HP, we get back what was lost from EU de-tuning (if headers not bodged) a tuned only UK MY18 will be around 490-510HP crank. :)

With the A10 it will be bonkers fast, but I really cannot comment on the new manual, am sure it will feel incredible but longer ratio's might diminish performance a little. A10 is definitely the much quicker car to go with.
