Dislike most of the wheel choices in 2018. In fact there is only 1 I strongly like but I haven't seen it as an option. I had heard it would be offered later in the model year. Does anyone know if true? I find the stock wheels with the 2018 GT in the configurator to be hideous. And the multi spoke wheels in any color never did it for me. Prefer 5 spoke.

What a bummer, kind of surprised Ford showed it off only to not offer it. I'm not at the point in my life to buy a new mustang but if I was this would make for a tough decision. Love the 18 but this wheel is so much better than what they offer now, imo.

Based on the 2018 ordering/equipment/options paperwork floating around in the Ordering sub-forum on here, that specific wheel is available as a 19x9 on the EcoBoost w/Performance Package or 19x9(F) & 19x9.5 (R) GT w/ Performance Package.

It states nothing about it being available only to overseas or domestic builds, at least I’m not seeing any footnotes in the 26 page ordering docs. The black stars only denote that the part/item is new for 2018. It is also an upgrade to the standard black 19x9 EcoBoost or black GT rims, so not a freebie upgrade.

Subnote on ordering docs for EcoBoost:
19" X 9” Luster Nickel-painted Forged Aluminum Wheels Note: Requires EcoBoost® Performance Package (67E). Note: Not available with Pony Package (54P), Black Accent Package (60B), Wheel & Stripe Package (60W), or Mini Spare Wheel and Tire (66W)
Subnote on ordering docs for GT:
19" X 9" (F) 19" X 9.5" (R) Luster Nickel-painted Forged Aluminum Wheels Note: Requires 255/40R19 (F) 275/40R19 (R) Summer Only Tires1 and GT Performance Package (67G). Note: Not available with Black Accent Package (60B), or Performance Package – Level 2 (673), or Painted Black Roof (94B)

At least online in the build your car of fords website it's not a choice. Neither is the bottom right which is also not bad looking.

For the record if forced to choose among what I do see offered id go with the PP or the black accent pack wheels. Don't love em bu they look much better than the other options imo.

I personally wish Ford would allow the rims seen in the Performance Package 2 be a available across all platforms - they would have a slew of orders for those rims...

Technically it's not a five spoke, it's 10. :D

I was told by Ford that the other wheel options will be added eventually but was given no indication when that might be. Only option currently for performance pack is the same black 19s as before.

Would you mind linking a picture of these?

Sure - check this thread out below about the PP2 equipment; the many images of the GT in that thread show the PP2 rims (up close as well), only available with that equipment package (so far). IMO, those rims are the best set of original equipment rims to date on an S550... sure wish Ford would make them available across the platform.

So, "late availability" in the Ordering Guide, means for the 2019 model year? :frusty:

Its been a while since I've been looking to order a new Mustang, but I remember when "late availability" meant Job2 or around in October. :gossip:

They're not shown on the website as yet, but they will be available on the 2018 models early next year. I've already ordered two GT PP1 cars with these wheels -- a ruby red 400A and a silver 301A. I believe the cars are scheduled to be built in January. The wheels are an extra charge of $795.

There is a Ford commercial on the air now; the "meet the Family" bit.
It is showing a Red Mustang with those exact wheels.

The build and price tool (as cool and fun as it is) sucks in accuracy for almost every vehicle. especially compared to the order form or "locator" tool available to dealers.
