Hey guys so I just picked up my 2016 GT and it already had a steeda short shifter installed. My question is sometimes it's hard to get into 2nd and I feel like I have to pull the shifter towards me when shifting to get in gear. Is this a common isssue with this tranny in general or something with this shifter you guys think? Thanks for any help

You have a hard time finding it (i.e., you miss and hit fourth) or it feels like you're running into the gate?

No issues going into second for me besides the notchyness. Use my fingertips and pull straight down.

Mine is the same way. 13k miles and if it isn't fully warmed up going into 2nd is almost impossible. I skip to third until it's warm.
To me it's a synrco. It feels like 2nd is locked out. When it warms up and you shift above 2500 rpm it shifts into 2nd easily.

Change the tranny fluid to the BG. This will remove the resistance when going into 2nd when cold.

As far as hitting the gate, I have the steeda tri-ax installed as well and never had an issue. The gate you think you may be hitting might be the resistance with the crappy stock fluid.

2nd gear shifts at 8k all day on stock shifter no issues. Replaced stock fluid with Royal Purple Syncromesh, BG is supposed to be even better. What did you do besides adding the shifter?

I have BG and a steeda tri ax on mine. It helped a small amount. Anything below 45 degrees and it's no fun

BG fluid helped with notchiness. MGW helped make the 1-2 row especially not feel so long and much easier to get to.
