It sounds interesting. I would like to do it, once I get the car but I would also like to know what is involved

Yup, planning on getting these instead as I dont really care about multi coloured - would rather just have brighter white / amber :)
Once I find a local installer, I will be ordering 3 sets of these :)

Finally! DD release a decent kit with a decent warranty.

I will be looking into the installation method of cutting the headlights open with a dremel tool which I read somewhere here previously on the forums.

A group buy on the new DD kit might be in order? (Although it seems like the additional local freight to Perth on the grill and decklid group buy I participated in recently somewhat negated my savings from the group buy.)

Wish there was a Darwin installer :( or any of the guys that know how to do it want a trip to Darwin? I'll pay for your flights, provide accomodation and you come give me a hand? :)

Contact Loudz on facebook, you send him your headlights, he does the work and sends them back :-)

Great concept, but if the car is your daily driver you need to do some planning.

Yeh the issue is my car would be off the road for at least a week. Plus it's still pretty expensive, but fair given the work involved. Wish I had the skill to do it myself.

Hi John,

I haven't really been following tri-bar DRL threads but what DD are offering looks pretty good.

Do you need 1 set or 2 sets?

Cheers,

Jim
Hi Jim,

you only need 1 set, fitting them will be the fun part, it seems cutting holes in the bottom of the light is the way I will do it. On all the videos I have seen of opening the headlight in the oven the lip of the light is damaged, and it just seems too risky to me. Maybe some guys who have experience doing it this way know some tricks, but I am not keen on that method.

John.
