119-120mph in 1320ft with a 4000 lb car is easily 500 HP at the crank. These cars are incredible! Huge bump compared to 15-17 for sure.

425rwhp without going to redline. Even so this would put it over the advertised power level at the crank.
For him EVERY dyno showing its at least 10hp under rated, even if the tranny has only 8% loss, is impossible. He somehow magically knows that's impossible.

AKA, ignore him, hes a dick.

Doesn't another Mustang with over 500 hp trap around 117-119 mph?

"Oh but but the gearing isnt made for drag racing!"
ZL1 will do 118.. how much power does that have again? 580?

Is the 425 rwhp reading at the spike at the end of the run? If so, seems to make closer to 420 rwhp at the true peak. Still impressive. I would like to see a clean run to its redline.

I'm assuming you're talking about the the 4200lbs 5th GEN ZL1 as the 6th Gen ZL1 runs around 125 on average..

The 6th gen SS has also been 119 in good air as well.

Whenever a new mustang or camaro whatever come out, there are high reading dynos with people screaming underrated!!
e.g

There are also 18' GT under 400 whp dynos out there already too..
The 119 mph is more telling the car is making the advertised power.

The 18' GT definitely has an improved flat power curve combined with the A10 is looking very impressive so far.

Where? Lowest dyno I can find is 401. Any one under 400whp is using 6th gear in the A10 so they can get the whole power curve instead of the 7K cut off. In that case they are getting about 383whp. The average for the dynos out there I can find here and youtube is about ~415whp.

Like I said, they did it in 6th gear. Beefcake got the same numbers when they used 6th gear and they got 400+ when they used 7th.

Lol whatever:shrug:

The gear the dyno pull does make a difference of course. My point is dynos are all over the place and hardly concrete.
The 6 gen camaro dyno ranges 380ish-430ish depending on conditions, gear, transmission. Wait until the dust settles to get a more solid average.

The camaro has been out long enough to say the manual 6 gen averages 400 hp/tq at the wheels

SAE has to be within 2% of rated. So 460X.02=9.20

So a crank rating of 450.8 and 469.20 would be within SAE certification.

yeah and look at the video, 3 pulls at about 415whp in 7th gear. The 382 number is a 2015-17. Thanks for proving my point. :-)

Also SAE is 1% variance, not 2%.

15GTBEN what does your camaro dyno at? What's your trap speed? 6th gen Camaro's been out over 2 years and there's only a handful of them trapping over 117 mph. We literally only have 2 2018 Mustangs that have been run, one of which ecobeast who can't launch to save his life. He still trapped at 119, lmr 117 mph but dynos more so than not are reading higher than they probably should.
I'm not here to say the my Camaro is better as they are both great cars! Just saying lets keep things real. Plenty of data out there proving the 6 gen camaro runs good, especially with the A8.

I haven't dynoed mine but my best run was a 12.2@116 with a 2.0 60 ft in +900 DA, if you must know.

I wouldn't be surprised if the A10 18' GT is a tad quicker than the camaro SS. I hope it is at those prices!
The advantage is mainly the A10 as the power is only a little more with less torque pulling more weight than the camaro.
The M6 18'GT vs Camaro SS M6 will likely be a drivers race! Time will tell.

Not that I give a crap about dyno numbers. But the 119 trap speed was run at Atco in the fall. Where the DA can approach -1800-2000. That's huge for power! If you look at the Camaro fast list. The guys that are claiming high trap speeds. Are also north easterners racing in the late fall. Just food for thought on the high trap speeds. My bolt on stalled auto is trapping 117 in the same good Atco air. So the 18s are making good power. I seriously doubt 500 crank. But good power none the less.
